What is recorded here
Fairy forts in Lisnamuck were human ringforts misnamed later. The oval bank measured thirty-eight metres in 1975, but pasture and time erased the entrance and ridge. People lived there before memory failed them. The field keeps the shape only in loss.
In level, low-lying pasture. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded a raised oval area (c. 38m NW-SE; c. 28m NE-SW) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone with a shallow external fosse. The original entrance was not recognisable. The monument is no longer visible at ground level.
