Mortons and others may have built the fort, but the fort still belongs to the fairies. It is a circular stone-and-earth chamber in open pasture, large enough to hold a household and strange enough to keep one curious. The fairies did not leave it empty; they rearranged it, claimed it and made it their own. People may have lived there first, but the fairies have lived there longer.

In pasture, below crest of ridge, facing glen to SE. Circular area (31m N-S; 32.6m E-W) enclosed by stone-faced earthen bank (H 1m); gap to W.
