You can still walk the ridge of that fort in Lisheen. It is not much bigger than a house garden, yet it has stood on its own knoll since before records began. The bank rises a man's height on one side and drops into a sharp scar on the other, as if the ground itself learned to keep a boundary. Cattle graze inside it now, unaware they are turning circles in the oldest room the valley ever built.

In pasture, atop natural knoll. Circular area (35.5m N-S; 36m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.6m) SSW->NNW; scarp on E side; silted-up external fosse WSW->NNW.
