Half a kilometre from the last house, a grassy ring stands on a low ridge in County Leitrim. People called it a fairy fort because the middle empty space seemed larger than the bank around it. The western gap still points toward the valley where shadow and rain come together at dusk.

Located towards the top of a small NE-SW ridge in a low-lying landscape. This is a grass-covered circular area (diam. 23.4m NE-SW; 20.5m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3.7m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H 0.7-1m) with some bushes, which is reduced to a scarp at S and disturbed W-NW. There is no visible fosse but there is an entrance (Wth 3m) at W.
