Moss and thorns strangle the earthen ring in Lisarney, hiding a wide waterlogged ditch and a broken southeast entrance where a causeway may have crossed. The subcircular hole measures thirty-four metres north to south and twenty-six east to west, large enough for several houses or a crowded gathering. People may have lived inside the bank or fled there when danger came, but the green has swallowed their footprints and names.

Raised subcircular area (int. dims. c. 34.5m N-S; c. 26m E-W) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep, waterlogged fosse. An earlier report (OPW 1968) noted possible traces of an outer bank enclosing the fosse. Wide break in bank with possible evidence of accompanying causeway at SE represents original entrance.
