No visible entrance, double bank and a narrow fosse mark the Liffane ringfort, yet cattle have grazed the eastern earth into pasture. The western slope still holds its shape because the ground falls away, revealing what level terrain hides. A boulder sits at the eastern base, likely dumped during field clearance rather than placed by ancient hands. The fort is not a mysterious fairy castle but a human defence eroded by time and livestock.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Roughly circular area (35.8m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by an inner earthen bank, an outer earth-and-stone bank and an intervening fosse (W 2.5m). Inner bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.85m), best preserved SW->NW, has been much denuded by cattle at ENE. Outer bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.35m) and fosse (D 0.25m) are evident only where there is a fall into site from higher ground SW->N. Loose stones from eroded outer bank litter base of fosse.
