No visible trace of the passage remains, but in 1974 a chamber still stood 6.2m long, 1.2m wide and 80cm high beneath Lahesheragh South. A bulldozer had already broken the roof of one chamber in the T-shaped passage, and the fort itself was almost gone. What was left suggested a narrow underground room, perhaps cut for storage, ritual or refuge, now erased from the surface entirely.

Marked on the 1841-42 and 1914 OS maps a circular enclosure, this site has since been levelled. However, in 1974, this rath, which contained a Man-made underground passage (KE005-032001-), was inspected by the OPW. The fort at that stage was almost completely destroyed. The roof of one of the chambers in the T-shaped Man-made underground passage was destroyed by a bulldozer. The surviving chamber would appear to have been 6.2m long x 1.2m wide x 80cm in height.
