Lislahardane is a well-preserved earthen ringfort in Lahardane with a 49m internal diameter, 5m external bank height and a wide south-west entrance overlooking the countryside. Its stone-lined edges, deep fosse and three small interior mounds suggest a place built to be seen, defended and lived in rather than merely marked on a hill. The name, ringfort of the half-little height, fits the shape: not grand in claim, but exact in its hold on the land.

Internal diameter 49m Lislahardane/Lios an Leath ardáin (ringfort of the half-little height). This well preserved univallate rath has a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. The circular area is enclosed by an earthen bank with a maximum external height of 5m and an internal height of 4m. The bank would appear to be stone lined in places and this can especially be seen to the SSE. A U shaped well-defined fosse encloses this bank from ENE through NW-SW. It measures 3m wide and 1.8m deep. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land and contained in the NE, E and S sectors are three small mounds of stone morphology, measuring 10m x 4m, 4.2m x 2m and 5m x 3m respectively.
