Fairy fort in Laharan, County Cork: a 36m earthen ring on a NE-facing slope, partly eaten by tillage but still marked by a 0.8m scarp, shallow fosse and faint inner lip. People may have lived there before fields took it over; the fairies, according to local story, kept what remained.

In tillage, on NE-facing slope. Roughly circular raised area (36m N-S) enclosed by scarp (H 0.8m) with shallow external fosse. Evidence for enclosing bank survives as slight internal lip (max. H 0.3m) SE->NNE; field boundary atop scarp elsewhere. Fosse best preserved to W (max. D 0.5m). Grass-covered interior slopes gently down to E.
