Lackaboy holds Lisín Bán, a white little ringfort thirty metres across where a thick earthen bank still rises above the pasture. Two gaps break the circle to the north and southeast, inviting entry into a space slightly higher than the surrounding field. The name suggests brightness rather than darkness, yet the fort remains tucked inside an ordinary farm landscape, waiting to be seen.

Internal diameter 30m N-S, 32.4m E-W Lissheenbaun/Lisín Bán (white little ringfort). A fieldbank running in a N-S direction runs immediately along the E side of this fort, which is situated up a large pastoral field. This univallate rath consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank c 7m in width at the base. The enclosing bank rises to a maximum height of 2.6m externally. The enclosing fosse is 1.4m in width and 1m below the height of the surrounding land. Two entrances exist to the N and SE, measuring 4m and 6m in width respectively. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land and gently slopes S. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
