Lacka East hides a circular fort beside a small stream, visible in 1974 aerial photographs but erased from modern memory. The name fairy fort suggests people once believed the site belonged elsewhere, outside human time. What is certain is that a ring stood there, large enough to exclude someone and small enough to be forgotten.

Not marked on the 1841-42 OS map, this circular enclosure appears on the later edition in the corner of a field with a small stream running E. It does show up on the Geological Survey of Ireland aerial photographs (1974), but no surface trace can be seen today. The above description is derived from C.
