What is recorded here

Knockogonnell holds a subcircular earthen ringfort thirty-nine metres across, standing three hundred and fifty metres southwest of another fort. Its bank and external fosse remain visible despite modern gaps, while an inner scarp rises from the east to southeast. The structure is large enough for substantial occupation, yet its distance from the neighbouring fort suggests rivalry, specialisation or simple overcrowding rather than a single domestic cluster.

Some 350m SW of a ringfort (GA007-088----). Subcircular rath (N-S 39m, E-W 36m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. A scarp forms the inner enclosing element from E to SE.
