What is recorded here

Knocknacolan holds two faded ring forts, one beside the other, their earth banks levelled into flat farm ground. They are not fantasy, though people called them fairy forts because they refused to explain themselves. The larger circle measures about thirty metres across, slightly off centre to the southwest, while a second ring sits thirty metres to the northwest. A field fence cuts across the first, and crops still reveal what ploughs and feet have tried to erase.
