Knocknacaska holds a ruined ringfort on a Kerry rise where a quarry later bit through the earth and men rebuilt part of the bank with stone. Inside remains a large rectangular house site, two stone mounds and a smaller chamber like a room pulled halfway out of the ground. The fort may have watched the land, hidden people or simply been forgotten until stone and soil were taken for elsewhere.

Internal diameter could not be taken Situated on a rise, this site has a commanding view of the surrounding land. The enclosing bank has been completely levelled, except to the ENE through E to S where it has been completely reshaped and re-constructed of stone. There is a steep drop from this stone bank. Immediately to the NE is a quarry which has cut through this site slightly. In the interior of this possible rath is a sub- rectangular house-site (KE021-101003-), aligned NE-SW, measuring 16m x 14.6m internally. The house site is 4m wide. Extending out of the NE corner of this house-site is a rectangular structure, 12.6m x 7m internally. To the E and SE off the larger rectangular house-site are two mounds of stones (KE021-101002-).
