What is recorded here

Knockballyclery holds a thirty-two metre circular rath where a collapsed earthen bank still traces the shape of a forgotten home. Field walls now cut across the ancient ground, proving that people have kept building and changing the site long after its first makers left. The fairies may have taken the visible structure, but they left behind an underground passage in the north-west quadrant where human hands still shape the dark.

On a gentle rise in farmland. Poorly preserved circular rath (diam. 32m) defined by a low collapsed bank (Wth 3m; H 0.5m). A field wall cuts across the monument from WSW to ESE and another wall extends off this towards it E end and runs NE cutting across the bank at NE. There is a Man-made underground passage (GA113-145001-) in the NW quadrant.
