Knockaunnakirkeen holds a fading ringfort where an underground passage still cuts through the earth. In 1983, slight scarping gave the place away, but by 1985 even that trace had vanished. The fort may have been a home, a shelter or a boundary marker, yet it has withdrawn from sight. What remains is a hollow promise, waiting for someone to stop asking permission and begin listening.

In pastureland. When initially visited by the Survey in May 1983, very slight traces of scarping and the associated Man-made underground passage (GA125-077001-) suggested the presence of a possible rath.
