What is recorded here
Knockaunbaun holds a faint circular scar thirty metres across, buried beneath grass and forgotten time. The earth rose once to keep out rain, wolves or wandering men, but centuries of pasture and patience have sanded the edge into a shallow dip. What remains is a breath of a wall, a suggestion of a door, a shape the land remembers more clearly than people do.
On a natural rise in undulating pastureland. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (30m NE-SW; 24.5m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (H 1m).
