Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Knockaun is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knockaun, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a raised circular area near the top of a south-facing ridge slope within forestry. A 1.3-metre scarp defines the 26-metre north-south space, while cultivation trenches cut across the mature trees inside.
In forestry, near the top of the S-facing slope of a ridge. A raised circular area (26m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1.3m). Cultivation trenches (on a N-S axis) cut across the interior which is covered with mature trees.
