Knockastuckane holds a levelled earthen ringfort, thirty metres wide, where five separate forts once stood on Mr Leader's land. The earth has flattened into a shallow rise, but the circular shape remains visible in pasture on a north-facing slope. People probably lived, loved and forgot the place before ploughs and time smoothed its edges. What is left is not decoration; it is a boundary the land still remembers.
