What is recorded here

Knockane holds a thirty-metre circular fort where earthen banks and a stone fence enclose a chamber that may contain a hidden underground passage. The southeast entrance remains narrow enough to force every visitor into a singular file, creating a bottleneck where human traffic still answers the ancient design. What lives beneath the soil is no longer certain, but the shape preserves the memory of a place built to control access rather than resist assault.

Roughly circular area (diam. 30m) enclosed by scarp (H 1.8m) NW->E; earthen bank (H 1.6m) E->S; stone field fence replaces bank to W. Gap in bank to S; entrance to SE (Wth 1.2m).
