Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Knockalton Upper is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knockalton Upper, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a circular area 49.2 metres north-south and 46.8 metres east-west on a southeast-facing slope, enclosed by a 4.2-metre-wide earthen bank and a shallow 3.9-metre-wide, 0.2-metre-deep ditch. The bank reaches a maximum external height of 2.5 metres, has stone revetment on its external face at the north, and shows a gap broken through at the south-southwest.

Situated on a SE-facing slope in undulating pastureland. A circular area (diam. 49.2m N-S; 46.8m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 4.2m; int. H 0.46m; max. ext. H 2.5m) and a shallow fosse (Wth 3.9m; D 0.2m). The bank has stone revetment on the external face at N and there is a gap broken through the bank at SSW. Adjacent field boundaries run concentric to the site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
