What is recorded here

Knockagarry holds a vanished ringfort where a thirty-metre circular field still marks the northern boundary on modern fences. The southern edge disappeared beneath soil or forgetting, leaving only a faint scarp visible in old survey lines. People likely built, lived and abandoned the place before records began, while fairy tales later swallowed the stones.

Indicated as roughly circular field (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; N half survives in field fence system to N on 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps; with S half hachured as scarp on 1936 OS 6-inch map.
