Knockaderry holds a forty-five-metre earthen ring where a waterlogged ditch still bites at the grass. Three gaps punch through the bank, yet no causeway bridges the ditch, suggesting the entrance demanded a deliberate step into uncertainty rather than a smooth path. Dense vegetation now swallows the interior, preserving the fort from easy judgement and human interference. The missing link between gap and ditch may be forgotten engineering, intentional exclusion, or the landscape reasserting its own terms after centuries of neglect.

In pasture, on slight W-facing slope. Roughly circular area (diam. 45m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.8m) with external partially waterlogged fosse (D 0.85m; Wth 0.7m). Breaks in bank at N (Wth 0.9m), NNE (Wth 1.5m) and ENE (Wth 1.85m), but none matched by causeway across fosse. Interior and most of enclosing element is masked by dense overgrowth.
