Knockacarracoosh holds a thirty-four-metre earthen ring on a gentle north-facing slope, its surviving bank folded into a modern field fence. The west half rises slightly above the east and contains a man-made underground passage, suggesting the site served more purposes than a simple boundary marker. People may have lived, hidden or tended this place long before written records, while local tradition still calls it a fairy fort because the shape resists ordinary explanation.

In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Circular area (34m N-S; 33m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.4m) SW->NW; low rise elsewhere. Surviving bank incorporated into field fence system. West half of interior appears slightly higher than E half; Man-made underground passage (CO030-240---) in W half.
