Fairy fort in Kippagh, County Cork: a 19 m circular earthwork, halved by a stone wall, with a low bank and a northern gap, set on a steep slope above pasture. People may have lived there, marked territory, or simply followed the shape the land already suggested. The wall cuts through rather than surrounds, as if human purpose and fairy boundary both claimed the same ground.

In pasture, on break in N-facing slope; land rises steeply behind site to S. Circular raised area (19m NNW-SSE) cut in half by stone wall running NNW->SSE. Interior enclosed by low earthen bank (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1m). Break in bank to N (Wth 3.5m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
