Keelagaun Fort is a circular earthen ring in West Cork, twenty metres across, with a low overgrown bank and a taller scarp on the north side. It sits atop a natural rise in pasture, the kind of place where people once drew a line around themselves and called it home. The fairies may have taken it back, but the shape remains, holding its ground against grass and time.

In pasture, atop natural rise which slopes gently down to NNW. Circular raised area (20m N-W) enclosed by overgrown earthen bank (max. H 0.5m; max. ext. H 1.28m) NE->WNW; scarp (H 1.8m) to NW and N, with slight internal lip. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
