Kilsallagh holds a forgotten ringfort where local people once drew bright circles in the dirt to keep the fairies from stealing children or butter. The clay remembers every anxious gesture and every hidden jar of cream. What looks like an empty field may still be a busy fairy kitchen, waiting for human hands to stop interfering before it shows itself.
