Kilnasavoge is a level pasture in County Longford, Ireland. A substantial earthen ringfort stands there, its circular bank and shallow ditch marking an old boundary of human life. The eastern entrance remains visible, inviting wonder about the people who built and used the fort before the field changed its western edge.

In level pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 37.3m) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 9.5m; H 1.3m max.) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 4.2m; D 0.25m). From WSW-W-NW the outer face of the bank and the fosse have been modified and incorporated into a modern NNE-SSW field boundary. A stone-lined break (Wth 1.7m) in the bank at E with an accompanying causeway probably marks the original entrance. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 16 January 2012
