Kilnaclasha held a massive circular fort with concentric earthen ramparts and deep ditches, large enough to demand attention from anyone crossing the pasture. Donovan called it perfect in 1876, but human impatience levelled the walls around 1950. The earth forgot its own shape within a generation, leaving only a slight rise beside the fence to mark where so much labor once stood.

In pasture on N-facing slope, overlooking Hollybrook demesne. Hachured as multi-vallate circular enclosure on OS 6-inch map (1842). Noted by Donovan (1876, 41) who described it as "in perfect preservation; the concentric high earthen ramparts, with the deep intervening fosse, are on an extensive scale". Levelled c. 1950; slightly raised area to N of field fence only visible trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
