Fairy fort is an earthen ringfort near Kilmihil, visible today as a raised circular area in pasture. It appeared on maps in 1840 and 1897, and a smaller possible hutsite still marks its southwest quadrant. People may have lived there, marked territory, or simply avoided the fairy fort because local stories warned it belonged elsewhere.

Shown on the 1897 OSi 25-inch map as a raised sub-circular shaped area (dims. c. 45m N-S; 45m E-W) defined by a scarp. Monument visible as sub-circular shaped area defined by a scarp with a possible hutsite (dims. c. 6.5m N-S; 5m E-W) in SW quadrant on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
