Kilmacduane East in County Clare, Ireland holds a fairy fort, also called an earthen ringfort. Its local name claims more than its official kind, inviting imagination beside fact. The distinction matters because people remembered the place as fairy-owned before surveyors measured it as a rath. That tension between myth and record is the shape of the story, not a claim that fairies built it.
