What is recorded here

Killeagh held a circular earthwork about 28 metres across, visible on the 1842 Ordnance Survey map until ploughing removed its ridge. It may have been a farmstead, a boundary marker or a child in the fairy fort stories. People still drop marbles into holes and wait for the click of a return, believing the fort keeps what it takes.
