What is recorded here

Indicated was a circular rath about twenty-five metres across on a northwest-facing Cork slope. Surveyors marked it in 1842, but human hands or forgetting have since smoothed it into ordinary pasture. It remains a phantom boundary, present only in the memory of a map and the hidden shape of the land.

In pasture, on NW-facing slope. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m). Levelled; no visible surface trace.
