What is recorded here

Killavarrig holds a true earthen ringfort, not a fairy tale. Its bank stands 1.85m high around a level circular area, with a shallow fosse cutting through pasture on the west and north-west. The south-east gap faces the slope, while two long cists wait ten metres away in the neighbouring field. People shaped that land long before myths gave it a name.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (59.6m N-S; 62.4m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.85m), with external fosse (D 1.2m) W-NW. Gap to SE. Interior raised on SE side to compensate for hillslope. Two long cists (CO123-041002-, CO123-041003-) 10m to ENE in adjoining field.
