What is recorded here

Killavarrig holds a forty-two-metre stone-faced ring on an NNE-facing slope, marking a place where human hands shaped the earth before memory faded. Gaps in the bank face NE, SSW and NW, perhaps inviting entry or marking changing uses across centuries. The slight rise toward the northwest suggests interior life, not empty decoration. A fairy fort in local naming, it remains a rath in fact: a made circle where people stood, lived or left behind what they valued.

In pasture, on NNE-facing slope. Circular area (42m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by stone-faced earthen bank (H 1.7m); external fosse W->SSW (D 0.5m). Gaps in bank to NE, SSW and NW. Interior raised slightly to NW above level of surrounding field. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
