Fairy fort in Killaleen, County Leitrim: a shallow D-shaped ring on a drumlin knoll, twenty-two metres long, marked by a two-centimetre scarps and a faint southern ditch. People called it a fairy fort because the shape resisted ordinary explanation, yet the measurements fit a human-made boundary on open ground. The field bank and drain cut through one side, erasing the entrance and reminding everyone that ownership changes when tools arrive.

Situated on a knoll of the W-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a grass and rush-covered D-shaped area (dims 22m N-S; 14.7m E-W) defined by a slight scarp (H 0.2m), with slight traces of a fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m) at S. It is truncated by a N-S field bank and drain at W and an original entrance cannot be identified.
