Kilkerran South held a thirty-five-metre earthen ring on a sun-facing slope until road works and leveling erased it. The 1904 survey still draws its circle, truncated by the east-west cut, proving the fort existed even though soil and memory have smoothed it away. Under the grass may lie a broken stone or forgotten wall, waiting for someone to scratch beside the road and ask the earth what it swallowed.
