Kilcullen South holds a thirty-metre earthen ring above the Dripsey River, preserving a chamber where human breath may have moved through shadow before the land forgot its name. The bank still stands tall enough to block the horizon, suggesting the space was built to exclude rather than invite. There is a fort here, but the living part has left. What remains is a hollow shape waiting for the story that made it necessary.
