In improved pasture, on an E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 35m) defined by earthen bank (overall Wth 7.65m; Wth at top 1.7m; int. H 0.95m; ext. H 2.5m), except where reduced to scarp at NE. Gap (overall Wth 4m; basal Wth 2m) in bank and possible causeway over fosse at NE may represent an entrance. Fosse (overall Wth 5.75m; basal Wth 1.75m; D 0.95m) has been modified at ESE, where redug and extended outwards to form pond. Outer edge of fosse is truncated by field boundary NNE-ENE and disturbed by upcast from excavated pond at ENE. Interior is generally level and is accessible around perimeter, but overgrown with vegetation within centre.
