What is recorded here
Kerrikyle holds a forgotten ringfort, buried beneath coniferous branches on a steep slope. The fortress appears on old surveys but resists modern eyes, suggesting human hands built what the forest now reclaims. Fairy forts belong to transformation rather than display, waiting for patience instead of permission.
In coniferous forest, on steep ENE-facing slope. Monument, depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m), could not be located in dense undergrowth.
