Keonbrook holds a shallow earthen ring at the foot of Sheemore Hill, measuring thirty-one metres across and marked only by a low grass-covered bank. People called it a fairy fort because no gate, ditch or owner remains visible, suggesting human hands built something the land has since swallowed.

Located at the bottom of the N-facing slope of Sheemore Hill. This is a grass-covered subcircular area (int. dims 31m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 8m; max. H 0.45m). There is no visible fosse or entrance. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
