What is recorded here

Keeloges holds a discarded fairy fort, an earthen ring now broken by a later field boundary. People may have lived there before the fairies took it back, leaving only a scarred oval and a missing wall. The land kept the shape long after the tools and names disappeared.

In pasture, immediately E of townland boundary with Ardrahin. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped area enclosed by a bank, intersected at W by a post-1700 field boundary running N-S. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as an oval-shaped area (dims. c. 25m NW-SE; 19m NE-SW) enclosed by a bank from NW-N-E-S-SW reduced to a scarp from SW-W, with external fosse. Possible entrance gap at SW.
