Fairy fort in Highpark, County Limerick: a levelled earthen ringfort, still readable as a roughly circular scarped area about thirty-five metres across, set in damp open pasture with views in every direction. The name gives it a fairy claim, but the shape speaks human hurry: a boundary made quick, a place to stand, watch, keep, or hide. Gravel now sits at its centre like a late joke, filling the middle that once belonged to air, rain and foottraffic.

Situated in gently undulating, poorly-drained pasture with good views in all directions. The monument has been levelled but is still evident as a roughly circular area (diam. c. 35m) defined by a scarped edge (Wth. 6.1 H 0.5m) NE to SW. On the downslope c. 4.5m outside this is another scarp (Wth 4.3m; H 0.3m) N to SW. The interior slopes down to E and a pile of gravel has been dumped in its centre.
