What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Highpark, County Limerick: a roughly circular earthen ringfort, 19.5m by 18.5m, with a scarped edge 1.6m wide and 0.3m high, conjoined on the southeast to another enclosure. It sits in flat, poorly-drained pasture yet commands good views in all directions, its interior sloping gently east. People may have lived there, marked territory there, or simply avoided the wet ground and called it fairy work.
