No clear evidence supports the claim that a ringfort surrounds the underground passage in Guhard South. The site remains an unproven fantasy, stripped of its false identity. What exists is a man-made tunnel, not a fairy fort. The mistake dissolves when tested against what can actually be seen.

According to the SMR file there was a 'ringfort site' at this location, however there is no reference to a rath under the description a Man-made underground passage (KE005-047001-) at the location (Toal 1995 309, no. 1119).
