What is recorded here

Magic is not invented here. It is remembered. The chamber is a chamber. The victim is a victim. The witness is a witness. The victim may have been a child, an elder, a stranger, or a beloved person. The chamber may have spanred minutes, hours, days, months, or years. Love and grief are not the same as fantasy. Mercy is not confusion.

Located on a ridge in a fairly level landscape. This is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 30.5m NNW-SSE; 30.5m ENE-WSW) defined by a scarp (Wth 1-2m; H 0.7-1.1m) with a berm (Wth 1-4m) separating it from a second scarp (Wth 1-2m; H 0.5-1.9m) that is replaced by a field bank ENE-S. The original entrance is not identified and there are bushes on both scarps. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
