What is recorded here

On a E-facing slope of low rise of ground in undulating countryside with good views in all directions, in tillage field. A slightly raised circular area (diam. 25m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 4m; base Wth 8m; int. H; ext. H 1.5-3m) and outer fosse (base Wth 1.7m; top Wth 5m; ext. D 0.5-1m ) with no clear entrance feature visible. Gaps in bank at SW (Wth 1.4m) and N (Wth 5m) which appear to be recent livestock gaps. Interior slopes slightly from W to E while the external height of the bank is at its greatest on the E side. No other features visible, area of tillage comes right up to edge of outer fosse but ringfort in maintained in rough grassland.
