What is recorded here

Graigacurragh holds a forty-metre earthen ring where flag irises still crowd the ancient floor. The west bank stands taller than the rest, marking the boundary between human memory and fairy ownership. People may have lived there before forgetting the name, but the plants have claimed the room back.

In pasture, on N edge of break in N-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 40m) enclosed by earthen bank and external fosse (Wth 2m; D 1m). Bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.6m), heavily masked by overgrowth, best preserved along W side. Fosse is covered with rushes, flag irises and nettles. Level interior is mainly covered by tall flag irises but has grassy clearing in N third.
