An unknown hand dug a shallow ring in Gortnaskeha, perhaps marking a boundary or holding a small house. Storms may have broken it before people forgot it, while neighbours still called the lost shape a fairy fort. The field has since taken back every stone and edge, leaving only the memory of a circle that refused to be remembered.

Lisnasplank/Lios na Splanc - ringfort of the flashes (of lightning). Appears on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps as a circular enclosure. It was levelled about 60 years ago and no surface trace remains today. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
