Lisnagowerduff, the ringfort of the black goats, stood directly behind Scallon's house in County Kerry. The earthworks disappeared when someone levelled the site, erasing the boundary between human history and fairy speculation. What remains is a vacant patch of soil where goats may have grazed, people may have lived, or neither may have existed at all.

A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Gortnaskeha, likely dating to the early medieval period, is associated with the name Lios na nGabar nDubh, meaning "ringfort of the black goats." It was marked on Ordnance Survey maps from 1841–42 and 1914–15 but was reportedly levelled some time ago, according to local landowner accounts.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
